Hot Welded Joint System
At Hygienic-Clad we specialise in the welding of PVC joints, which has become increasingly popular.
Edges of the board are chamfered and are wiped before double sided foam tape is laid behind a 2.5-3mm gap to hold the sheets in place whilst the adhesive sets.
The sheets are then hot welded by a welding gun. The welded seamless finish is increasingly used in healthcare, prisons and social care settings as it provides a superior hygienic finish which is tamper proof.
